Dear Joan,

I know your out there somewhere watching over us and somehow, you'll see my note.

Forty seven years ago, you had a baby. And that little boy grew up to be the man who changed my world. And to you, I am forever grateful.

He's kind. He's strong. He's truthful. He is loyal. He is funny. He is silly. He is loveable and he loves. He's warm. He's patient. He's grateful. He's smart. He's confident. He is never afraid to be him. And he never wants to be anyone else.

And he has taught me to be all those things too.

Forty seven years ago, your world, changed mine.
