So, Tom bought me a Dell laptop just under a year ago. And about 3 weeks ago....the monitor went.
Oh, how sweet they were when we contacted them. Under warranty? No problem. We will send a box to your home, put it in there, and we will have it back to you in 7-10 days.
What they didn't tell me was that, I'd have to pay for it. Pay for a new monitor and motherboard for a computer less than a year old. These things just don't go. It's not me, it's the computer.
We've done some research and found people with the same computer, who had the same problem. Further proof, it's Dell.
Warning-Do not buy the Inspirion 1501. Actually, don't buy Dell at all. This is Tom's fourth Dell purchase, and each one had an issue. This one being the worst. We are done with Dell.
And the worse part is, who has money to go out a buy a computer every year? Now i'm using his. Unless a money miracle happens...I have no computer of my own.
Thanks Dell! For aggravation, a warranty worth as much as used toilet paper and customer service department that will be so very sweet because they know they'll be sending you a bill along with your computer, in 7-10 days.
