For the past year, I have been cutting and coloring my hair myself. It was pretty scary at first. I took books out of the library. Read. Bought the tools. And then practiced.
I've been doing my hair, my Mom's hair and cutting Tom's hair. I really like doing it.
Can I tell you, I used to color my hair because I loved the change. Now I color it because it's turning gray.
I'm a far cry from the girl who used to spend $170 to get her hair done. A million miles away from the being the girl who would leave the state for a good haircut.
And, I'm cool with that.
It's funny how life changes you. Or maybe it's how you change your life?
