She changed her hair. She changed her thoughts on wrong and right. She even changed her idea of the perfect future. All so that she could be "better".

And, as she sat with her cup of tea and the silence of his absence, on another one of his working late Friday nights, she realized he was right. She could be "better".

But her version of better was much different than the one he had painted for her to imitate.

She decided being alone by choice, not by result of another person's choices, was her "better". The only change she needed to make was her choice of him. Oh, and her hair color. She had forgotten how beautiful her natural color had always been.
