Can You Imagine This?

How about getting an anonymous e-mail at work saying, "You could use a stronger deodorant". Well, this will make you sniff yourself before you leave the house....and throughout your day.

There is now a way for colleagues to tell you what they really feel, in a polite way(ha), without fessing up.

Check out NiceCritic.com. Now, I know you will be sending at least 3 emails to those you love under this disguise, but seriously, I think it's a form of harassment in the workplace. The approach comes from a Web site, NiceCritic.com, it opened July 4th.

There is no polite way to tell someone something ugly. Leave it to your boss. If you said it aloud, it would probably cause an office disturbance. And I think it would do the same, via email. Or worse. Everyone will be eyeing each other up wondering who sent the email.

I say it's another way that technology has made our world more complicated.

What do you think?

FYI - To prevent inconvenience or harrassment, the site allows only one unique message to be sent to a specific email within a month. Also, a recipient can unsubscribe at any time.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

The messages don't have to be unique to be harrassing. If you have to send something anonymously, I don't think you should be sending it.
