A Simple Life 8x10 Print

I am so grateful for a simple life.

Today I'm making soup.
Tom did a crazy dance about an hour ago.
We took the cat and the dog in the car with us Friday night.
Yesterday, I planted pansies.
I also added new soil to the garden.
I'm wearing no make up right now.
And my hair is wet, and up in a clip.
And Tom probably would say, if you asked him, that I don't need makeup(even though I know I do).
My cat is sleeping like a king, on the thrift store chair I paid $35 dollars for.
It makes me happy to see him so comfortable on that chair.
This morning, that silly cat, layed with me. And Charlie isn't that kind of cat.
So when he layed with me and let me kiss him and pet him, I felt so lucky.
I like feeling lucky.
Tom is in the ceiling right now. Doing some electrical work. It took us two and half years to get to the part of making this house pretty. Yet, now that that time is here, I look around and think, it is pretty.
We don't have a washing machine or dryer. But, I never go to the laundrymat.
Cause Tom knows how much I dislike the laundrymat. So he washes on his lunch hour and dries on his way home.

I've spent so many years focusing on making my life perfect. Bigger then it was. Better than what is was.

But now I realize, nothing is as important to me as living a simple life. There is just so much good to find in the simpliest things.

You have such a beautiful spirit and I am so happy to have "found" you here. I *LOVE* that you appreciate the little things in life--that you are able to find beauty in the simple things. The Hubs and I try so hard to live like this on a daily basis, but it is so nice to hear/read these thoughts coming from someone else. I know very little about you, but from what I've learned so far, if it weren't for geography, I feel like we'd be pretty good friends. :)

P.S. And *YAY* for us, for having men who do the laundry! Phil is washing and folding laundry as I type this, no joke. Hee. :)

It's the simple things. I feel if we look foward to the simple stuff, we will always have something to look foward to.

When I was going through my divorce, I looked foward to my Saturday morning Starbucks. It was a guaranteed thing, that I wouldn't let myself miss out on.

Geography is small potatoes for girls with spirits like us Ang!
